Main library floor , teal bookshelf islands and colourful reading ottomans
A repurposed school library designed to make children want to stay. The brief was to transform a tired multipurpose space into somewhere that feels alive. Teal bookshelves curve through the room in tiered islands and cylindrical pods, colourful blob ottomans scatter across the floor, and an organic perforated metal ceiling floats overhead like a cloud, housing all the light the space needs. Every element was designed around how children actually move, read, and gather.
